Wrapping Up 2014

I can't believe how fast this year has flown by! We're only 7 days away from Christmas and 14 days until the new year!

I started 2014 with half of my heart missing - my husband was on a deployment. Patience, time, 2 girls, and WRV quickly made the time apart speed by! Here are some of my personal and WRV highlights from this past year:
  • said goodbye to our 4th (and hopefully last!) deployment
  • Camp Pendleton fire evacuations
  • invited to be a vendor at Wizard World Con
  • Relaunched our Etsy shop by popular demand (thank you for all of the emails and messages!)
  • added the FANDOM collection to our constantly growing portfolio of awesome things we can make for you
  • expanded our accessories to pillowcases, wine bags, tote bags, and now blankets!
  • our HUGE PCS move from the west coast to the east.
  • Reopened in time for the holiday season to see nearly TRIPLE the traffic and orders compared to this time last year! Thank you SOO much!
  • my girls and I seeing snow fall for the first time! ^_^

The year isn't over yet! There's so much more ahead of us. I know I say this every time and it may sound repetitive, but I am truly thankful for all of the love and support. I love doing this so much and I hope you all can see the effort that I put into everything. I'm beyond blessed! Thank you! before we say adios, 2014, I have one more giveaway to do and also kick-off our 2nd Annual Pin-In The New Year with White Rabbit Vinyl. It was so much fun last year that I'm doing it again this year! Make sure to follow our Facebook for all of these announcements!

Looking ahead to 2015, expect to see White Rabbit Vinyl to tap into more pop cultured / fandom designs. This doesn't mean other collections are done. Nope! As long as I'm inspired by new things, our compilation of unique designs will always grow!

Also in the upcoming year, we're going to try to reduce our carbon footprint. My sister-in-laws are an inspiration when going green. I know the San Francisco area had some strict laws about recycling and compost. Whenever we'd visit, we made sure waste was put in the correct bin - otherwise, they would be penalized. I'm taking the green path with WRV, not because I'm being told to, it's because I want to. It's better for our environment and our way of life. If you shopped with us this holiday season, you will notice that your apparel and accessories were wrapped in packing paper! A huge difference from last year when I used specially made holiday tissue paper, ribbons, and all the trimmings. I had an ABUNDANCE of packing paper left when we unloaded our moving boxes. Going forward, you will see less flyers, business cards, tissue, ribbons, and paper when receiving your package. Did you know that the average American's carbon footprint is 40% from direct usage (cars, tv, computer, etc.) and 60% is from indirect usage (things we buy and use). I genuinely believe my work will speak volumes so there will be no need for the excess waste to arrive with your order. Gift wrapping and special order notes will still be available upon request.

And hey, the packing process will speed up a lot more when all the extra steps I use to take in wrapping them are eliminated. Which means, shaving down turnaround times - hopefully. :)

One last thing before I wrap up this post, all orders placed up until Wednesday, December 3rd, have been shipped. They should arrive in time for your holiday needs. Please remember that orders placed after, follow the turnaround time that I have set in place.

Thank you reading this brief update! Don't forget to follow our Facebook for when we will announce our next giveaway and Pin-In The New Year Giveaway on Pinterest!
